Farmyard Fun: A Maternity Session At Wise Acre Farms
One of my favorite maternity boudoir sessions took place in the most unexpected yet perfect location—a farm. Not just any farm, but the charming Wise Acre Farms in Windsor, California.
Owned and operated by a wonderful gal named Tiffany. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was going to be an unforgettable experience for my client, a very pregnant April, who has a deep love for chickens.
April was glowing from her pregnancy and excitement! It wasn’t just her upcoming motherhood that her her beaming with beauty, but also the chance to spend the afternoon surrounded by her favorite feathered friends!
We started the session with pampering at the studio—because every woman, especially during pregnancy, deserves to feel like the queen she is. My talented makeup artist, Lupita @gldnaurabeauty worked her magic, doing hair and makeup. Watching April’s confidence bloom was pure joy!

As we made our way around the grounds, the gentle clucking of chickens followed us, cracking me up the entire photoshoot! I had no idea chickens sound like they are laughing!
Adding to the farmyard hilarity, Tiffany’s dog followed us everywhere, completely unphased by the chickens with his serious looks while squawking came in every direction. We couldn’t help but burst into laughter! It was a hilarious time, with April laughing so hard that tears welled up in her eyes.
The unexpected farm animals brought so much joy to the session. It was the kind of lightheartedness that made this maternity session unforgettable. Every time one of the animals decided to “participate,” April’s face lit up even more.
